Stand Up: Free Comedy On The London Underground This Weekend

What’s happening and when?

Two award-winning comedians are taking the concept of “underground” comedy to whole new level this weekend, on Saturday 8th October.

Tony Law and Scott Gibson will be improvising more than three hours of stand-up on the Central line on Saturday night, between 8pm and 12am, travelling east to west and back again.

We’re aiming to get Londoners laughing on the line ahead of our lastminute.com Fringe Comedy Award Shows.

Who are the comedians?

You’re probably more familiar with Tony Law for his TV comedy work on 8 Out of 10 Cats and Russell Howard’s Good News.

He’ll be performing up close and personal in a carriage alongside Scott Gibsonwho won this years Edinburgh Comedy Awards.

Consider them warm-up acts for your night out.

“I always knew stand-up would take me to interesting places, but never did I think I’d get to run amuck along the length of the Central Line! I’m beyond proud to be part of the ECA alumni, so any opportunity to help raise awareness of the Fringe’s latest discoveries, whilst also raising a smile on the down-trodden faces of London’s commuters, was a comedic challenge I couldn’t resist.” Comedian, Tony Law
